/photos/images/British Museum in London.jpg Elgin Marbles
These three female figures are from the right corner of the Parthenon’s east pediment. The sculptures now form part of the Elgin Marbles collection at the British Museum in London. In the early 1800s, agents of British diplomat Thomas Bruce, seventh earl of Elgin, removed most of the Parthenon’s surviving pedimental sculptures and the relief sculptures from the south metopes.
